    A CORNISH GEM

    St Ives

Many regard St Ives as the 'gem' of Cornwall and the most picturesque of resorts. With its combination of unique and magnificent coastal views to the town's narrow streets, which wind their way between quaint fishermen's cottages, numerous bars, restaurants, cafes, museums, galleries and the Tate.

Not many resorts can rival St Ives for both the number and quality of beaches. There are no less than five beautiful golden sandy beaches within easy walking distance of St Ives town centre.

The turquoise waters of St Ives Bay are some of the cleanest in Europe, with the beaches regularly receiving the coveted Blue Flag awards. Also we have such a variety, from family beaches at Porthminster and Porthgwidden with sheltered bathing and rock pools, to the famous Porthmeor surfing beach below us.
